What it replaces, and what it costs

A typical US cable or satellite package with a sports tier runs well over $100 a month once equipment rental and regional sports fees are added. Add two or three streaming services on top and most households are past $150 before anyone has watched anything.

Crystal IPTV covers the live television part of that bill. The networks, the sport, the news, the kids' channels, for £6 a month, or £4.17 on the annual plan. No cable box, no dish, no installer, no two-year agreement, and nothing to hand back when you stop.

Best setup for a US home

Firestick or Fire TV

By far the most common choice. Install the Downloader app from the Amazon store, use it to install IPTV Smarters or TiViMate, then enter your Crystal IPTV credentials once. Nothing is jailbroken and the stick keeps working normally for Prime, Netflix and everything else.

Smart TV without a stick

Samsung and LG sets can run IBO Player or Smart IPTV directly from their own app stores. It works well, though the interface is slower than a dedicated stick. If your TV has a few years on it, a cheap streaming stick makes a real difference.

Internet

15 Mbps handles HD and 25 Mbps covers 4K. American cable internet clears both without trouble. The weak link is usually Wi-Fi stretched across a large house, not the plan itself. Ethernet to the main TV solves more buffering complaints than any other single change.
